THE FRAMES
The print is surrounded by an off-white matt board then mounted and framed with a Victorian Ash frame.Â
The print is then set within a high-quality clear glass or acrylic Perspex facing. The quoted size(s) refer to the total outer frame size and not the print itself. All framed historical maps and poster prints are supplied ready to hang.
Your order is made on-demand and to your specification. We will ship your finished artwork in approximately 10 – 12 days from order date.
THE TIMBER
Australia\’s most commonly known variety of hardwood timber Vic Ash / Tasmanian Oak is a light coloured timber with tones ranging from neutrals to subtle pink tones. It is well suited to these historical maps and posters and compliments a wide variety of interior decors.
As a frame making timber only the highest appearance grade is used and we finish by applying a natural waterbased clear coat. The final coat is carefully hand applied and buffed. This ensures an even soft satin sheen. Our frames present beautifully when finished and accentuates their natural grain and features.
We use a 30mm x 20mm frame for the A3 size works and a 20mm x 40mm gallery style for the larger sizes.
